Where to Watch Highlights of Talent Connect 2024

It took the internet seven years to reach 100 million users, AI expert Allie K. Miller told a Talent Connect 2024 audience a few weeks ago. It took ChatGPT . . . two months.

“We are on the precipice of one of the most significant changes in business in history,” Allie said. “And I know that every crypto person said that two years ago — but I actually mean it.”

If you’d like to hear all of what Allie said — and meant — or you simply want to know why she believes that if your company has a five-year plan, “you might as well take it out of your purse and light it on fire,” visit the Talent Connect 2024 Highlights site

It’s a one-stop shop for all the key moments from both Talent Connect Summit (the live event) and Talent Connect Show (the global digital event), and it’s the place to find other keynote addresses, breakout sessions, expert panel discussions, customer success stories, and more.

Watch — or rewatch — keynote addresses

We’ve got the main takeaways from the main stage — from Jennifer Hudson talking about how a job at Burger King opened the door to the world of entertainment to Laura Fuentes sharing how Hilton became not only a great place to spend the night but a great place to spend a career. Check out:

• Singer, actor, and TV talk show host Jennifer Hudson on The Journey of Transformative Possibility. It’s no accident Jennifer became the youngest woman to ever win an EGOT — Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards. She shares how, to get ahead, she unleashed superlative talent, unceasing drive, and two dogs named . . . Oscar and Grammy.

Mel Robbins, a New York Times bestselling author and host of The Mel Robbins Podcast, on The 5 Second Rule. “What you’re going to learn today,” Mel says, “is that the secret in a moment like this, where you have to unlock your power and you have to learn something new and work in a different way, is simply five seconds.””

Ryan Roslansky, the CEO of LinkedIn, and Hari Srinivasan, a VP of product at LinkedIn, on Unlocking the Power of People: LinkedIn’s Vision and Product Innovation. Ryan shares his view on how big the current moment is. “It’s not just a moment where how we work gets redefined,” he says, “it’s a moment where work itself gets redefined — for every person in every job in every company in every country. And that’s a big deal.” He and Hari unveil LinkedIn’s brand-new Hiring Assistant, an AI agent that can tackle an astonishing range of repetitive recruiter tasks. Hari also introduces LinkedIn’s new AI-powered coaching features that  allow users to practice human skills through interactive scenarios.

Laura Fuentes, the chief human resources officer for Hilton, on Empowering Growth and Purpose with Hilton. Laura explains why she sees her company’s front line as its bottom line. “These buildings don’t become hotels until we put people in them,” she says. “We’re in the business of people serving people.”

Jennifer Shappley, LinkedIn’s head of talent, and Erin Scruggs, LinkedIn’s head of talent acquisition, on AI at Work Is Here. What Should Talent Leaders and Teams Do Now? Jennifer lays out three things LinkedIn is doing  — including making a big bet on coaching, both human- and AI-powered — to thrive in this moment of massive change. And Erin shares how her team is using AI to record, transcribe, and summarize candidate interviews. The early results? Significant improvements not only in time-to-fill but quality of hire.

Allie K. Miller, an AI consultant and investor with nearly 1.5 million followers on LinkedIn, on Building an AI-First Mindset. Allie says that AI doesn’t just represent a shift in product — it means a shift in business. “So, a lot of people think that AI is like the frosting on the cake,” she says. “AI is actually the flour in the cake.”
