WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 23.24.10.78. The version marked within WhatsApp Settings is 2.23.24.78 and the TestFlight build is 23.24.10 (541257827).

CHAT LOCK SHORTCUT
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.22.4 update, we announced that WhatsApp was releasing two new shortcut to quickly lock chats. Thanks to these shortcuts, WhatsApp aimed to enhance the visibility of this feature, streamlining the process of protecting conversations from prying eyes. After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.24.10.78 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out these shortcuts to the iOS app as well!
As you can see in this screenshot, some beta testers can now have access to a new shortcut that allows them to quickly lock chats directly from the chat list. Just open the chat options to check if this shortcut is already available to your account. In addition, WhatsApp is improving the process of locking conversations by introducing a dedicated toggle within the chat info screen. This toggle also provides users with a more intuitive method to lock their conversations. In the previous updates, users had to navigate through a separate section within chat info to enable chat locks. Thanks to the latest update, the process is more efficient with the dedicated toggle.
In our opinion, these two shortcuts bring a significant advantage to the process of locking a conversation. In particular, introducing a shortcut to lock chats directly from the chat options ensures that even those users who might not have previously discovered this feature are now aware of the capability to lock their conversations. This process also reduces the steps needed to lock or unlock a chat, enhancing the user experience.
