COMMUNITY EXAMPLES

WhatsApp continues to work on enhancing communities to make them more appealing to new users. Following the introduction of a refreshed interface for community info, spotted with the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.16.1.75 update, WhatsApp is now providing examples on how to build a successful community. The changes are visible after installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.16.1.76 update from the TestFlight app.

This minor feature has already been discovered with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.17.2 update, and users will be provided with some examples on how to create a community on WhatsApp. The shortcut redirects to an official WhatsApp FAQ that provides users with some instructions and tips regarding the community creation, the ability to add groups to the community, and how to reach community members by sharing updates using the special community announcement group.

As we said in our article about the Android update, while we think this is a minor feature, WhatsApp is introducing it to encourage more people to create a community. Apparently, this feature might be complicated to use and understand, especially for those who usually use WhatsApp only for regular instant text messaging, so WhatsApp wants to provides those users with some useful examples. As a result, by showing how to create and use communities, WhatsApp aims to convince more people to try creating a community to manage groups with similar interests.

Community examples are available to some beta testers that install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and they are rolling out to even more people over the coming days.
