The Must-Read Articles for Talent Professionals This Week

In a recent blog post, industry leader Josh Bersin announced the following: “The Agents are coming, the Agents are coming.”

No, he’s not talking about the FBI or Matrix-style men in black suits. He’s talking about something called “agentic AI.”

“Our friendly AI assistants are starting to feel more empowered,” he writes. “Instead of just answering questions and composing poetry, they’re now able to ‘do things’ on our behalf.”

Instead of, say, having AI help you find plane tickets and accommodation for your next vacation, an agent would actually be able to book and pay for your travel on its own — all based on your preferences. Are you more of an aisle or window-seat person? Your agent would keep that in mind.

Josh also gives some examples of what agents could look like in recruiting and L&D. Could an agent create and deliver learning content to your employees with one simple prompt? Or woo cream-of-the-crop software engineers? Josh sees it just around the corner.

To learn more about recruiter and L&D AI agents, be sure to check out Josh’s post at the top of our list below of must-read articles for talent professionals. And further down our list, you can also find out how to manage a massive number of candidates for a single job posting; why one company threw performance reviews in the trash; and why Lars Schmidt created his very own “jagged resume.”
