Kai Cenat sets unstoppable Twitch records with 500,000 subscribers

Kai Cenat has achieved a huge milestone in Twitch’s history by being the first streamer to achieve 500,000 subscribers. This milestone, achieved during his November 2024 Mafiathon 2 subathon, solidifies Cenat’s place as the top streamer on the platform.

Kai Cenat hits a historic Twitch milestone

Kai achieved this feat on November 22, leaving him speechless as confetti cannons erupted around him. Twitch celebrated with a social media post saying, “There’s no stopping Kai Cenat. 500k and counting.” Kai expressed gratitude to his fans, saying, “Every time I feel tired, y’all remind me why I keep going.” To commemorate the event, his mother called in and sang “Congratulations” by Post Malone, joining in the festivities.

Breaking records

Kai Cenat’s journey to 500,000 subs wasn’t just a fluke — it was a carefully planned comeback after losing his previous record to Ironmouse in September. Kai quickly regained the top spot after starting Mafiathon 2 on November 1. He reached 400,000 subscribers on November 16 and surpassed 500,000 in just six days.

Fans believe he may even reach one million subscribers as his subathon continues through December.

Success of Mafiathon 2

The success of Mafiathon 2 is attributed to both Kai’s charismatic talent and his ability to attract major celebrities. Stars like Miranda Cosgrove, Quavo and Snoop Dogg made cameos during the event. These collaborations gave his streaming marathon some flair.

However, the event wasn’t without controversy. His decision to stream alongside rapper Chris Brown and an incident involving his security staff at Disneyland drew criticism. Despite this, the subathon’s positive highlights far outweigh the negatives.

As Kai Cenat’s sub count continues to climb, he’s setting records and inspiring countless streamers worldwide. His fans are excitedly awaiting the next step in his historic journey.
