If you’re looking to get ahead at work —whether that’s by getting promoted, nailing your next big presentation, or stepping up as a leader — the key could be charisma, or “rizz” as Gen Z likes to call it.
For introverts and those of us who feel a little “rizz-less,” don’t despair. Charisma, The Wall Street Journal notes in a recent article, can be learned. More than anything, it’s about being a good communicator and listener, which are skills that all of us can cultivate.
“At its heart, charisma isn’t about some grand performance,” one expert tells the WSJ. “It’s a state we elicit in other people. It’s about fostering connection and making our conversation partners feel they’re the charming — or interesting or funny — ones.”
