WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 23.19.1.74. The version marked within WhatsApp Settings is 2.23.19.74 and the TestFlight build is 23.19.1 (518539123).
What’s new in this update? WhatsApp is working on improving the interface by introducing new icons, and it will be available in a future update of the app.

NEW ICONS
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.19.1.72 update, we announced a new modern interface that features new colors, new buttons, and the ability to filter chats. In the same article, we also highlighted a new groups chat filter feature in development, that aims to provide users with a final solution to better manage their group conversations. While the new interface and the ability to filter chats are still under development, WhatsApp keeps working on improving the design of the app before the release. Specifically, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.19.1.74 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on new icons to include in the redesign!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp will introduce new icons for the settings section in a future update of the app. These icons will enable users to experience a much more modern interface, enhancing the visual appeal of the application. It’s important to note that WhatsApp has also plans to introduce redesigned icons in the chat info section in the future, in order to ensure a consistent experience.
With the new design, WhatsApp is finally demonstrating its commitment to addressing user feedback and evolving the interface of the app. Users have been requesting for a revamped user interface for years, as the application had not received updates in this context for a considerable amount of time, potentially causing it to seem outdated when compared to competing apps. However, with the introduction of this revamped interface and these redesigned icons that definitely align with the new design, WhatsApp aims to offer a better modern and user-friendly experience.
